Mark Benioff, former executive of Oracle is the brains behind salesforce.com He mastered the idea of delivering enterprise applications via the internet to potential companies , both large as well as smaller ones. Salesforce.com has worked on its strenghts and has come up with on demand applications, Force.com platform for extending Salesforce CRM and force.com application exchange directory. The main advantages of salesforce.com are as following:

1. Offer customizable enterprise applications which are integrated and can be used by companies of any size. Actually it is its ability to customize its products which allows small companies the opportunity to implement these solutions for their companies.

2. Due to its internet based structure it can be up and running in a matter of days , rather than months as with usual CRM's thus saving time and resources.

MIS Assignment # 2

1. Describe some RFID applications that might pose a threat to privacy. What information does RFID enable them to track?

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is a type of automatic identification system.
The purpose of an RFID system is to enable data to be transmitted by a portable device, called a tag, which is read by an RFID reader and processed according to the needs of a particular application.

RFID technology also enables retailers and corporations to pry into the lives of consumers in ways that were, until recently, off limits.
The data transmitted by the tag may provide identification or location information, or specifics about the product tagged, such as price, color, date of purchase, etc.
The use of RFID in tracking and access applications first appeared during the 1980s. RFID quickly gained attention because of its ability to track moving objects.

RFID systems enable tagged objects to speak to electronic readers over the course of a product's lifetime—from production to disposal—providing retailers with an unblinking, voyeuristic view of consumer attitudes and purchase behavior.
In RFID system, individual objects are equipped with a small, inexpensive tag which contains a transponder with a digital memory chip that is given a unique electronic product code.
RFID tags come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes. Some tags are easy to spot, such as the hard plastic anti-theft tags attached to merchandise in stores, animal tracking systems, vehicles, people or even currency.

Happy Birthday !!!

Once a year we celebrate with stupid hats and plastic plates,
the fact that you were able to make another trip around the sun.
And the whole plan gathers round' gifts and laughter do will bound,
we let out a joyful sound and sing that stupid song.
Happy Birthday, now your one year older.
Happy Birthday, your life still isn't over.
Happy Birthday, you did not accomplish much.
But you didn't die this year i guess that's good enough.
So lets drink to your fading health, and hope you don't remind yourself
your chance of finding fame and wealth decrease with every year.
Dose it feel like your doing laps, and eating food and taking naps,
and hoping that some day, perhaps,
your life will hold some cheer.
Happy Birthday, what have you done that matters?
Happy Birthday, your starting to get fatter
Happy Birthday, it's downhill from now on.
Try not to remind yourself your best years are all gone.
If cryogenics were all free then you could live like Walt Disney and live for all eternity inside a block of ice.
But instead your time is set this is the only life you get,
and though it hasen't ended yet some times you wish it MIGHT!
Happy Birthday, you wish you had more money.
Happy Birthday, your lifes so sad it's funny.
Happy Birthday, how much more can you take?
But your friends are hungry so just cut the stupid cake.

Free hugs campaign

one day i had nothing to do and somehow i got to know about this campaign called Free Hugs

Sometimes, a hug is all that we need. Free Hugs is the real life controversial story of Juan Mann, a man whose sole mission was to reach out and hug a stranger put a smile on their face. In this age of social-disconnection most all of us lack that simple human touch from another, the effects of the Free Hugs Campaign are now felt around the globe. As this simple gesture of kindness and hope spread across the city, police and officials ordered the Free Hugs Campaign BANNED. What we then witnessed was the true spirit of humanity as people came together in what can only be described as something awe inspiring. In the spirit of the Free Hugs Campaign please pass this video to a friend and HUG a stranger! After all, you CAN make a difference.
